Here I sit listening to Johnny Cash. He has a really rough voice, but something about it reminds me of a grandfather sitting there with his guitar singing you songs. Its the kind of thing that you just cannot turn away from and you are hypmotized into passionatly listening to. I have been downloading alot of his songs tonight. His music speaks volumes. He sounds really pained. There is a deep message in his later stuff. What a shame we lost a man like that.
I spent most of my day flying today. Frank and I met out at Skypark this morning and we took a Cessna 172 over to Wayne County airport and shot the VOR 10 approach twice. It was the nicest day that we have had in this region in almost two weeks. I think that we almost broke 60 degrees for the first time in a while. almost all of the snow that was left from the blizzard last week has been melted off.
Sparks took me flying in his and Doug Feeslers Cherokee 235 today. That is a really nice airplane. Reminded me of going with Jim Thorpe back in Durant in his Cherokee Six. There are some things that I miss back in Durant, but I am starting to aclimate up here in Ohio.
Less than three months untill I ship out to Air Force Basic Training. I wish that it was sooner.
